It’s Christmas Eve!

Updated: Jan 2

It's Christmas Eve! I hope that you guys have an incredible day! I am so excited for all the gifts and presents! Ooo, and the cookies and hot chocolate! Yum! But Christmas isn't all about the gifts and the presents or even the cookies! Let's break it down:

Gifts & Presents:

I love to give gifts and presents! It's one of my favorite things during Christmas. I used to be all about receiving but I guess I've changed. What was your favorite gift you ever got? My favorite gift that I have received is JESUS! Jesus is the most important gift you will ever receive in your entire life, physical and spiritually. Let me tell you why,

Jesus came as a little baby boy on the earth, born in Bethlehem, The Town of David (Matthew 2:4-6).

He will be born 100% Human and 100% God. He will be born as a baby, grow up, died on the cross for everybody's sin, past, present, and future, and resurrected from the grave to be with his Father in Heaven.

Cookies & Hot Cocoa:

Just like we like to receive, eat, or drink our cookies and hot cocoa, Jesus had something similar. The cookies and hot cocoa that you'd have is enjoyable, and so are the gifts that Jesus got. The wise men brought gifts to Jesus Christ when he was in Bethlehem. He got Myrrh, Frankincense, and Gold!

Myrrh: This gift symbolizes something for the body. Like when Jesus died and rose again!

Frankincense: The gift of frankincense symbolizes something spiritual. Like when we worship Jesus Christ. He is the true sacrifice if the world.

Gold: The gift of gold symbolizes something of great value. Like Jesus! Jesus has so much great value and glory you can’t even count how much glory He has, it’s impossible!

So the true, reason for Christmas is Jesus being born into this sinful, dirty world, only for our sake. Here’s something that I like that I want to share with you guys!

  • Christ the Lord- born in Bethlehem and laid in a manger (Mathew 2:1, Luke 2:4-7)

  • Holy Night-an angel brings good news of great joy (Luke 2:8-12)

  • Redeemer- Savior of the world (John 3:16-18, 1 John 4:14-15)

  • Immanuel- God with us (Matthew 1:22-23, Isaiah 7:14)

  • Shepherds- went to see him (Luke 2:15-16)

  • The shepherds spread the word- and all who heard were amazed (Luke 2:17-18)

  • Mary- found to be with child through the Holy Spirit (Mathew 1:18-21, Luke 1:26-35)

  • Angels- praising God (Luke 2:13-14)

  • Shining star- wise men saw the star and they were overjoyed (Mathew 2:1-10)
